XILITA RIVER

APULCO RIVER
The Apulco River, sets the limit of the municipality with Zacapoaxtla, Ayotoxco de Guerrero and Tlatlauquitepec, receives the waters of the Cuíchatl River and the Zoquiate River before flowing into the Tecolutla River.
This river originates in Zautla and crosses several municipalities from west to east. It is a river with little flow that depends on the rainy conditions, its width is approximately 8 to 10 meters and its dominant vegetation is made up of pine, oyamel, juniper and ocote.
